2009 part two: kingsway

The site for our final studio project was the Kingsway corridor, a 14km long arterial road running from Vancouver, through Burnaby and terminating in New Westminster. It’s a pretty auto-dominated landscape, and it’s easy to feel uncomfortable as a pedestrian walking on narrow sidewalks beside speeding trucks and cars, especially when most of the businesses along the street are either closed, or not very lively. But still, there are interesting things to see..

One afternoon, Laura and Rebecca, and I walked from Knight Street [the site for mine and Laura’s project] to Joyce Street, where Rebecca’s site was.

make up your mind!
