homesick

I have to say this is probably one of the only times I’ll admit to missing the buckets of rain in British Columbia. I don’t really get homesick too often [thanks to the wonders of skype] but right now I’m really wishing I could teleport back to Vancouver for a few days. Missing home and all the good things and people that come with it.

 Last weekend I went camping with a bunch of friends from my undergrad program and it was fantastic. Although it poured rain most of Saturday, we made the most of it and thankfully it dried out in the late afternoon..just in time to set up the tent. It was really nice to spend some time in the wilderness, something I had been craving after spending around 10 months in Europe. It really made me appreciate British Columbia even more. I have another set of photos from this trip I’ll post soon.

I’m leaving for Oregon on Thursday and I’m super excited! I hope this nice weather holds..
